I always find at least two cabinets that would make a unique statement in an executive office space. This year was no exception. ReSAWN’s Shou Sugi Ban Charred Red Oak cabinet provides lots of storage for a small space. And Max Zaluska’s teak and white credenza would look stunning paired with a clean lined desk.
Max is incredibly driven to bring his clients more than what they could ever expect from custom work. I told Max my ideas for a custom desk and shelves I wanted, and he brought it to life in a way that I couldn’t have imagined. The results speak for themselves and the value is real deal. Originally I wanted to order so many pieces from Max (his designs are beautiful and ultra-functional) but he asked for measurements of my space and even came to the city to visually plan what would be appropriate for me to actually move forward to purchase. He didn’t let me purchase anything I didn’t need and went above and beyond to give me ideas for my entire space. I know that when I hire Max to do any sort of work for me, whether its building a custom piece, or replacing my kitchen cabinets, that I’m getting the best work possible for my money and that he’s going to do the work as if he’s doing it for his own home. He takes great pride in what he does and dealing with him is so easy. I think Max is one of the best artist and engineers in the game when it comes to building custom furniture.
So my wife Susan and I were shopping for some end tables in a commercial furniture store in Carle Place L.I. and saw the same old same old stuff. As we were walking out of the 3rd place we visited, Susan noticed something way in the back of this store that really caught her eye. We walked to the back and finally saw something different. These end tables were unique and quite beautiful.Max then came to my home and designed 4 tables and a mantle for our faux fireplace. Everything he designed was out of the ordinary at a reasonable price. When friends and family come to our home they say the tables are a work of art. We are so satisfied with everything Max has done. He is reliable and a pleasure to work with. We went with every one of his suggestions and were not sorry.
MAX ZALUSKA STUDIO There are some people who are lucky enough in life to truly make a living doing something that is inherently what they were born to do and in my opinion Max is one of those lucky few!! His pieces are works of art that exude his love of design. In a city where there may be live edge pieces here and there his stand in a lane all on to themselves. Max is master of his craft and it is a pleasure to work with such a talent. I am grateful to present my clients with a source that will create pieces with their special needs and wants taken into account. His pieces always enhance any space that they are in and fit seamlessly into traditional, transitional and contemporary designs. It has been a true pleasure to work with Max and I look forward to working with him on other projects in the future.
After eight years living in North Carolina, I came to appreciate the best in fine wood craftsmanship. But a Max Zaluska cedar chest literally stopped me in my tracks, taking my breath away the first moment I saw it, tucked away in a back storage room of a furniture store, with a “sold” sign attached. To say the least, I was very disappointed it was sold. But I was lucky enough to eventually get that piece and two more. The grace, colour, shine, sheer elegance, precision, form, and beauty keep me eyes tirelessly savouring his three timeless pieces in my home over and over and over. My children, grandchildren, and great-children will enjoy them as much as I do.
Max is creative, professional, and makes beautiful custom furniture. I have had easy collaborations that have left me with happy clients.
